Overview
A three-night journey along Scotland's scenic west coast. The train joins the West Highland Line at Craigendoran, climbs past Loch Lomond and Glen Falloch to Spean Bridge, then runs out to Arisaig for the sands of Morar and back to Glenfinnan. The final day crosses to the Isle of Bute for Mount Stuart, with a gala dinner on the last evening.

Day 1Edinburgh → Spean BridgeSpean Bridge
The train leaves Edinburgh in the early afternoon and heads west through Falkirk to Craigendoran, where it joins the West Highland Line. Afternoon tea comes with a first glimpse of Loch Lomond before the climb through waterfall-rich Glen Falloch to Spean Bridge for the night. Dinner is followed by entertainment in the Observation Car.

Day 2Fort William → Arisaig → Glenfinnan
Travelling west through Fort William with views of Ben Nevis, the train stops at Arisaig for a walk on the white sands of Morar, looking across to the Cuillin Mountains of Skye. Lunch is served on the way back to Fort William, followed by a guided visit to the Glenfinnan Monument and drinks at Spean Bridge, or an optional walk to Steall Waterfall in Glen Nevis. Dinner and entertainment follow on board.

Day 3Isle of Bute → KilmarnockKilmarnock
After brunch on board, cross to the Isle of Bute to visit Mount Stuart, a Victorian Gothic house with one of Scotland's finest private collections of family portraits. Return via Wemyss Bay for a gala dinner as the train travels to Kilmarnock for the night.
