About the British Pullman
What kind of trips does the British Pullman run?
It runs day trips that start and finish in London, usually at London Victoria. Some are pure dining journeys through the countryside, while others include time at a stately home, historic city, seaside town or major sporting event.
Are there overnight journeys?
No. The British Pullman has no sleeping cars; every journey is a round trip completed the same day, with some evening departures returning around midnight.
Are meals and drinks included?
Yes, the meals and drinks described in each itinerary are included, typically with wine and non-alcoholic options. Premium drinks and souvenirs can be bought on board.
What is the dress code?
Smart dress is expected, and denim, trainers, baseball caps, collarless T-shirts and shorts are not allowed. Jackets and ties are optional, though on this train you can never be overdressed; New Year's Eve is black tie.
Can I choose a table for two?
Tables for two, three and four are available. Let us know your preference when booking and it will be confirmed subject to availability.
Can children travel?
Yes, on suitable journeys. Families are seated in a designated area, so mention any children when you enquire.
Is the train pulled by steam?
Normally the train is hauled by a diesel engine. Selected departures are advertised as steam-hauled for all or part of the route, though another engine may be substituted at short notice.
How do I choose a journey and check dates?
Pick a dining journey for a relaxed few hours, or a full-day excursion if you want a sightseeing stop. Live dates and fares are shown on each journey page, and our reservations team can help on (866) 484-7882.
