This journey runs from Delhi to Mumbai through the heart of Rajasthan. See the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, go looking for tigers in Ranthambore and tour Jaipur's great forts. Then cross the desert to Bikaner for sundowners on the dunes, continue to Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur and take a boat on Lake Pichola in Udaipur before the final run to Mumbai.

Check in at Delhi's Safdarjung station for a welcome and breakfast as the Maharajas' Express heads for Agra. After a tour briefing and lunch on board, visit the Taj Mahal in the afternoon, followed by the Mohabbat-e-Taj show. Dinner is served on the train, which stays in Agra overnight.

Start early with a visit to Agra Fort, then return to the train for breakfast on the way to Sawai Madhopur. After lunch on board, set out on an afternoon game drive in Ranthambore National Park. Dinner is served as the train travels on to Jaipur.

After breakfast, spend the morning at Amber Fort, the City Palace and the Albert Hall Museum, returning to the train for lunch. In the evening you are taken to dinner at an exclusive venue before a late departure for Bikaner.

Breakfast is served as the desert countryside rolls by and the train pulls into Bikaner. Visit the Karni Mata temple at Deshnok, then return to the train for lunch. In the afternoon, explore Junagarh Fort before heading to the sand dunes for sundowners and a barbecue dinner with folk dances.

Arrive in Udaipur after breakfast for a boat ride on Lake Pichola and a visit to the City Palace and its Crystal Gallery. Lunch is at an exclusive venue, followed by a walking tour of the old city and a tuk-tuk ride. Back on the train, enjoy an Indian evening and dinner as you head for Mumbai.

A relaxed final day on board, with breakfast and lunch served as the countryside passes by. The train arrives at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai in the afternoon, where you say farewell to the Maharajas' Express.
