Overview
This round trip from Delhi joins the royal sights of Rajasthan to the spiritual heartland of northern India. After Jaipur's forts, a Ranthambore game drive and the Taj Mahal at sunrise, the train heads east to Orchha's fort, the temples of Khajuraho and Varanasi, where you visit Sarnath and watch the evening aarti from a boat on the Ganges.

Day 1Delhi → JaipurOn board, stationed at Jaipur
Check in at Delhi's Safdarjung station for a welcome and breakfast as the Maharajas' Express sets off for Jaipur. After a tour briefing and lunch on board, arrive in the afternoon to visit the Albert Hall Museum and Amber Fort. Dinner is served on the train, which stays in Jaipur overnight.

After breakfast, explore the City Palace galleries and the Jantar Mantar observatory, then return to the train for lunch. In the evening you are taken to dinner at an exclusive venue before the train leaves overnight for Sawai Madhopur.

Day 3Ranthambore → Fatehpur SikriOn board, en route to Agra
Arrive at Sawai Madhopur at dawn for a game drive in Ranthambore National Park, then return to the train for breakfast. Lunch is served on board before an afternoon visit to Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted Mughal city. Dinner is served back on the train.

The train reaches Orchha in the early morning for a visit to Orchha Fort and a village tour by tuk-tuk, then breakfast on board. Lunch is served on the way to Khajuraho, where you spend the afternoon at the Western Group of Temples. The evening brings an Indian evening and dinner on board.
