Day 2Florence or Rome → Venice
Your steward serves a French breakfast in the cabin, then the Bar Car is the place to meet fellow travellers. After a leisurely three-course lunch the train may pause briefly in Florence or Rome before heading north. A French goûter precedes the crossing of the Venetian Lagoon into Santa Lucia station.

How is this different from the classic Paris to Venice journey?
It follows a longer southern route that passes through Florence or Rome, and arrives in Venice in the evening rather than the late afternoon. Dining and cabins are the same as on the classic run.
Will I be able to get off in Florence or Rome?
The train passes through Florence or Rome and may stop there only briefly before continuing to Venice. It is a pass-through on the way, not a sightseeing stop.
Is there a midnight brunch?
Yes. After dinner the Bar Car stays lively with piano music and cocktails, and a midnight brunch is served for anyone still up.
Which meals are included?
A four-course dinner with sommelier-selected wines on the first evening, then a French breakfast in your cabin, a three-course lunch and a French goûter on the second day. Night owls can also enjoy the midnight brunch served in the Bar Car.
Are transfers included?
Yes, complimentary transfers run from your Paris accommodation to the train and from Santa Lucia station to your accommodation in Venice. You simply step off the train at Santa Lucia and are taken to your hotel.
