Overview
The La Dolce Vita Orient Express leaves Rome in the afternoon and travels north overnight to Alba, in the heart of the Langhe. After a day among Piedmont's vineyards and truffle traditions, the train returns overnight to Rome Ostiense.

Day 1RomeOn board
You are welcomed aboard in Rome and the train departs in the afternoon. In the evening, dinner by three-Michelin-starred chef Heinz Beck is served in the Restaurant Car. Live music in the Bar Car follows as the train travels north.

Day 2AlbaOn board
Breakfast is served as the train arrives in Alba, among the vineyards of the Langhe. Local assistants accompany you into town to explore at your own pace, or you can join an optional visit to a celebrated winery for its wines and truffles. In the afternoon the train sets off for Rome, with a second dinner and music on board.

Enjoy an Italian breakfast in your cabin or the Restaurant Car as the train approaches Rome Ostiense, where the journey ends.

How much time do we have in Alba?
The train arrives in Alba on the morning of the second day and departs for Rome in the afternoon, giving you most of the day in town or on an optional experience. Local assistants meet the train and accompany you into town.
Can I join a truffle hunt?
Yes, as an optional experience. It includes a white truffle hunt with an expert and a trained dog, followed by a truffle lunch paired with Langhe wines including Barolo.
When does the train leave Rome?
The train departs Rome Ostiense in the afternoon of the first day, travels overnight to Alba, and returns overnight to arrive in Rome on the third morning. Both nights are spent on board in your cabin.
Which meals are included?
Dinner is served on board on both evenings, and breakfast on both mornings, with selected wines and drinks included. Lunch in Alba is at your own arrangement unless you book an optional experience.
