Overview
This Carnival journey on the La Dolce Vita Orient Express leaves Rome in the late morning, with lunch on board, and stops in Bolgheri in the afternoon. That night the train hosts a masked Carnival party, and you arrive in Venice the next morning for the city's festivities.

A private transfer takes you to the lounge at Rome Ostiense, and the train leaves in the late morning with lunch on board. In the afternoon you explore Bolgheri's cypress-lined roads and village streets, or join an optional experience. Back on board, dinner leads into a masked Carnival party with a pianist, a singer and a themed Carnival game.

A leisurely breakfast is served as the train crosses northern Italy. By mid-morning you arrive at Venezia Santa Lucia, in the heart of the city at Carnival time, where the journey ends.

Do I need a mask or costume?
Guests are invited to wear masks for the Carnival evening on board. Bringing your own mask is a nice touch.
What happens at the masquerade evening?
After dinner, the train becomes a masked ball with live piano and vocals in the Bar Car and a themed Carnival game for guests. It is a prelude to the Carnival celebrations awaiting in Venice.
What time do we reach Venice?
The train arrives at Venezia Santa Lucia by mid-morning on the second day, leaving you free to join the Carnival celebrations. Breakfast is served on board before arrival.
Are Carnival balls in Venice included?
No. The journey ends on arrival in Venice, and any masquerade balls or events in the city are arranged separately.
