Questions about this journey
What is the Palio di Siena?
It is Siena's centuries-old horse race around the main square, contested by the city's districts amid great pageantry. On this journey you watch it from an exclusive vantage point in a palazzo overlooking the square.
Is the viewing spot for the Palio included?
Yes. The journey includes an aperitivo in a historic palazzo, the reserved vantage point for the race and a Tuscan dinner in a private courtyard afterwards.
Does this journey run often?
No, it runs only around the Palio itself, so departures are very limited. Our team can confirm the departures on sale.
How do we get to Siena?
The train brings you into Tuscany and a private transfer takes you to Siena for the race, then back to the train in the evening. You spend the earlier part of the day on board, with lunch in the Restaurant Car.
When do we arrive back in Rome?
The train arrives at Rome Ostiense in the late morning of the third day. Breakfast is served on board before arrival.
How do I check prices and dates?
Fares depend on the departure and the cabin category you choose. Live dates and fares are shown on this page, and our reservations team can help on (866) 484-7882.
