The La Dolce Vita Orient Express leaves Palermo Centrale at 10:30am for Taormina, where you spend the afternoon. On day two the train crosses the Strait of Messina by ferry and reaches Naples in the early evening, arriving at Rome Ostiense in the late morning of day three.

After breakfast, the train is carried onto a ferry and you can watch the crossing of the Strait of Messina from the deck. Lunch inspired by southern Italy is served on board. In the early evening you arrive in Naples, where hosts take you into the city before you return for live music in the Bar Car.
