You are welcomed on board at Oviedo station and settle into your suite before a visit to Gijón, a city closely tied to the sea and known for its culture and cooking. In the afternoon you return to Oviedo to explore the historic centre of the Asturian capital. Dinner is served on board as the train follows the coast to Llanes.

After breakfast you head into the Picos de Europa, a landscape of mountains, lakes and traditional villages. Following lunch you return to the coast for free time in Llanes, then the train continues into Cantabria with dinner on board.

The day opens with a visit to the replica of the Altamira Cave, followed by Santillana del Mar, one of the loveliest medieval towns in Spain. After lunch the train takes you on to Santander, with free time on its bay before dinner.

Breakfast is served as the train heads for Bilbao, where you say goodbye to the crew. A visit to the city includes entry to the Guggenheim Museum, symbol of Bilbao's transformation, before you travel to San Sebastián for lunch and the end of the journey.
