This one-way journey on the La Dolce Vita Orient Express leaves Palermo in the morning and spends the afternoon in Taormina. The next day the train crosses the Strait of Messina by ferry and stops at Maratea, before arriving in Rome on the third day.

A private transfer takes you to Palermo station for a morning departure, with lunch served at midday. In the afternoon the train arrives in Taormina, where you can explore its streets and terraces or join an optional experience. Dinner and live music follow as the train leaves for the mainland.

Breakfast is served and the morning is spent on board. In the afternoon the train is loaded onto a ferry to cross the Strait of Messina, then continues to Maratea for a stroll or an optional experience such as a coastal walk or tasting. You reboard in the evening for live music in the Bar Car.

Breakfast is served as the train travels through southern and central Italy to Rome Ostiense, where the journey ends.
